SDG Materiality Assessment
A structured assessment of which UN Sustainable Development Goals matter most to your organisation. You rate impact, financial exposure and stakeholder priority for each SDG you select, and get a ranked materiality result with a matrix. Allow about 15 to 25 minutes. SDG pre-screen
Select every SDG that could plausibly relate to your activities. You will only rate the ones you select. You can go back and change this.
Impact (inside-out)
For each SDG, rate the positive and negative impact your organisation has on people and the environment. 0 means no impact, 5 means the highest. Scale is how significant the impact is. Scope is how many people or how wide an area it reaches.
Financial (outside-in)
For each SDG, rate how it could affect your organisation’s finances over the next five years, as a risk and as an opportunity. Likelihood is how probable it is. Magnitude is how large the effect would be.
Stakeholder priorities
For each SDG, rate how much it matters to each stakeholder group. 0 means not at all, 3 means a top priority.
Your SDG materiality ranking
Score = 40% impact + 35% financial + 25% stakeholder, on a 0 to 5 scale. The method is aligned with the ISO/UNDP 53001 approach of looking at impact and financial exposure together with stakeholder views. The weights are VerdeVista’s own. This is a self-assessed screening result, not a certification or a verified assessment.
